چکیده

he recent wave of enthusiasm for including inflammation s one of the primary pathophysiologic processes in cardioascular disease has substantial merit (1). Arterial inflamation is central to plaque progression and plaque rupture. mong clinical markers of inflammation, C-reactive protein CRP), a complex pentameric protein largely of hepatic rigin, is the current gold standard (2,3). In a variety of linical situations, the elevation of CRP predicts adverse utcomes, including mortality (4,5). Beyond its “biomarker” ole, CRP probably actively participates in atherothrombois. For example, CRP opsonization of low-density lipoprotein LDL) cholesterol mediates LDL uptake by macrophages.

Chronic intermittent hypobaric hypoxia attenuates monocrotaline-induced pulmonary arterial hypertension via modulating inflammation and suppressing NF-κB /p38 pathway

Objective(s): Inflammation is involved in various forms of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Although the pathophysiology of PAH remains uncertain, NF-κB and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) has been reportedto be associated with many inflammatory mediators of PAH. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of chronic intermittent hypobaric hypoxia (CIHH) on pulmonary inflammat...

The Effect of Chronic Inflammation on Knee Joint Vascular β-adrenoceptors in Rabbit

It has been shown that inflammation reduces the effectiveness of sympathetic nerves in the regulation of knee joint blood flow, and the joint vascular- ß adrenoceptors are changed due to acute inflammation from a majority of ß-1 to an equality of ß-1 and ß-2 receptors.. To investigate the role of sympathetic nerves in nerve induced vasoconstriction and changes in joint vascular ß-adrenoceptors ...
